It’s that time of the week again when I share my Squidoo writing update that showcases my latest lenses. I am slowly but surely working at finishing and publishing all those work in progress pages!
Here are the lenses I published this week:
Our family has been letterboxing for 5+ years now. It is my absolute favorite way to spend a weekend afternoon. I love the treasure hunt aspect of it but I also enjoy the crafty side as well with the rubber stamp carving and logbook creation.
This was my entry in the 2013 Squidoo Community Valentine’s Day Challenge where you had to write a lens about something you love.
Healthy Red Fruits and Vegetables
Written for the Squidoo Imminent Quest, this page highlights some of the healthiest red fruits and vegetables that most people don’t get enough of in their diet. I tell why each one is so important nutritionally and also feature some yummy recipes that feature that food. If you are trying to eat healthier, I recommend checking this page out. Most people don’t get enough fruits and vegetables in their diets.
Running a Successful Blog Giveaway
Most of you know, I also run Blog Giveaway Directory. I wrote this page to help new bloggers help understand what it takes to run a successful blog giveaway. I see a lot of giveaways that could be doing so much better if they just fixed a few things. So I hope that it is helpful.

Do you write on Squidoo? If not, you should definitely look into it! I make a couple hundred dollars each month in passive income from Squidoo. Things that I wrote years ago are still consistently earning me money each month.
While I don’t rely on Squidoo as my only online income, it is well worth the effort as an additional income stream. If you aren’t a Squidoo member, you can click on the link below to learn more and join.
Feel free to share your own Squidoo writing update below. I would love to know what new lenses you have published this week so I can pay them a visit.

I didn’t know that Squidoo generated income. I have been turned off of Squidoo and no longer really read it, due to not being listened to when writing to them concerning a really awful lens about costumes. I left a comment on the page also and the writer did take one offensive comment about the costumes being appropriate for powwows off. She blocked me from commenting or contacting her though. Native American costumes are not ok. Several she had listed on that lens were especially awful and racist. The comments by people who thought the costumes were great were upsetting but I could not comment at all. Others also complained but no one listened. It looked to me as if it violated their TOS but Squidoo did not respond when contacted by myself or others. I’m just not sure I could write there after that awful experience. It looks as if you have two wonderful lenses here though, from the descriptions I see above.
Sorry you have had such a bad experience with Squidoo Susan. While the lens you mentioned may be offensive to you, Squidoo headquarters can’t really do anything about it unless that page violates their terms of service. Unfortunately freedom of speech means that sometimes things we find offensive are published, which is true all across the internet and isn’t just a problem with Squidoo. If you made an effort to contact them about it, the best thing you can do is just to ignore it.
I think you will find there is a lot of wonderful content on Squidoo and it is a great way to earn residual income. It’s not making me rich, but I did just get a $150 payment from them which is going in our vacation fund. So you might want to give it another try.
