5 Minute Handmade Easter Cards

Don’t think you have time to make handmade cards this Easter?  Think again!  If you have just 5 minutes, you can make one of these cute handmade Easter cards!  They are each made using the Stampin’ Up Eggstra Spectacular Stamp Set and feature the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper. This tutorial includes directions to make the basic card (pictured on left) as well as 2 stepped-up versions.

Here is the card sketch you are going to use to create all three versions of these Easter cards:

I find it easiest to start by cutting all my paper.  That way I only have to use the trimmer once!

Paper Dimensions for each card:
• Whisper White Cardstock {Item #100730} – 5 ½” x 8 ½”
• Watercolor Wonder DSP {Item #132994} – 4” x 5 ¼”
• Yellow/Blue Paper from Water Wonder DSP {Item #132994} – 2 ¼”x4”
• Pear Pizzazz Cardstock {Item #131201 } – 1” x 4” (card #1)
• Calypso Coral Cardstock {Item #122925} – 1” x 4” (card #2)
• Smoky Slate Cardstock {Item #131202} – 1”x4” (card #3)
• Scrap of Whisper White Cardstock {Item #100730} (card #3)

Handmade Easter Card #1:

Think you don't have time to make handmade cards? These cute #Easter cards can be made in just 5 Minutes and are oh so cute!

Card #1 Instructions:

  1. Fold the Whisper White Cardstock in half, using the bone folder to get a crisp crease.
  2. Adhere the piece of Watercolor Wonder DSP to the front of the card.
  3. Cut a banner shape from the yellow Watercolor Wonder DSP, using the 2nd largest Banner Framelit die.
  4. Stamp the Easter Egg stamp on the banner.
  5. Use SNAIL adhesive to adhere the banner about ½” down and ½” in from the left edge of the DSP.
  6. Wrap Island Indigo Baker’s Twine around the strip of Pear Pizzazz cardstock and tie in a bow. Trim ends.
  7. Use SNAIL adhesive to adhere the Pear Pizzazz cardstock to the top of the edge of the Watercolor Wonder DSP on your card.

Handmade Easter Card #2:

Card #2 Instructions:

  1. Fold the Whisper White Cardstock in half, using the bone folder to get a crisp crease.
  2. Adhere the piece of Watercolor Wonder DSP to the front of the card.
  3. Cut a banner shape from the yellow Watercolor Wonder DSP, using the 2nd largest Banner Framelit die.
  4. Stamp the “Thinking of Ewe at Easter” stamp on the banner.
  5. Use SNAIL adhesive to adhere the banner about ½” down and ½” in from the left edge of the DSP.
  6. Use the Scallop Trim Border Punch to punch the border design along one long edge of the Calypso Coral strip.
  7. Wrap Early Espresso Baker’s Twine around the strip of Calypso Coral cardstock and adhere to the back.
  8. Cut a 6” piece of Early Espresso Baker’s Twine and thread through the button. Tie in a bow on the front.
  9. Use a mini glue dot to adhere the button to the decorative border, referring to the photo for placement.
  10. Use SNAIL adhesive to adhere the Calypso Coral decorative border to the top of the edge of the Watercolor Wonder DSP on your card.

Handmade Easter Card #3:

Card #3 Instructions:

  1. Fold the Whisper White Cardstock in half, using the bone folder to get a crisp crease.
  2. Adhere the piece of Watercolor Wonder DSP to the front of the card.
  3. Cut a banner shape from the yellow Watercolor Wonder DSP, using the 2nd largest Banner Framelit die.
  4. Stamp the “Hoppy Easter” stamp on the banner.
  5. Stamp the “Hoppy Easter” stamp again on the scrap of white cardstock.
  6. Use paper snips to cut out just the bunny from the image stamped on white cardstock.
  7. Stick a small pearl accent to the cut-out bunny image for the tail.
  8. Use a partial Stampin’ Dimensional to adhere the cut-out bunny over the bunny image stamped on the banner.
  9. Use SNAIL adhesive to adhere the banner about ½” down and ½” in from the left edge of the DSP.
  10. Use the Finishing Touches Framelit to create a decorative border along the edge of the strip of Smoky Slate cardstock.
  11. Use Tombow glue to adhere a 4 inch length of gold sequin trim to the middle of the Smoky Slate border.
  12. Use SNAIL adhesive to adhere the Smoky Slate border to the top of the edge of the Watercolor Wonder DSP on your card.

Use the Eggstra Spectacular stamp to decorate the flap on your envelopes, if desired.
