It’s a great way to get to know each other. My Question this week: It’s Friday and that means pizza for dinner for our family. (It’s my kids’ favorite night of the week!) What are your favorite pizza toppings? My Answer: When I was little, the only topping I liked on my pizza was onions. Now I have branched out a bit and love a good veggie pizza. My Memories Suite Scrapbooking Software Review and Giveaway
I recently was given the opportunity to review My Memories Suite Version 2 software for scrapbooking and more. Given that I am perpetually behind on my scrapbooking, I jumped at the chance. When I sat down to play with the program, I discovered that it is so much more than just scrapbooking software. You can also use My Memories Suite Version 2 to create greeting cards, photo calendars, and even dvd slideshows. How cool is that? I found My Memories Suite very easy to use. The layout is intuitive; all your page elements are drag and drop. Within about 10 minutes, I had created my first page. Unlike other scrapbooking software I have used, I love how all the embellishments and page elements are sorted by theme. It makes it much easier to find things since you aren’t scrolling through a whole long list of images. One other thing I … Continue reading

Free Gooseberry Patch Pumpkin Cookbook
Fall is definitely here! Beautiful pumpkins are showing up at the farmer’s markets and grocery stores. I have been tempted to pick one up to make Pumpkin Stew as I always make that at least once during October. It’s so warm and filling. Since it is baked right in the pumpkin, it is a pretty presentation for the table too. I just saw today that Gooseberry Patch released a so I had to get it to check out all the other wonderful recipes that I could be making this Autumn. I was surprised to see that the cookbook contained several variations on my pumpkin stew recipe. Might have to try them out!
Halloween Popcorn Balls – Halloween Recipe for Kids
Pin It I was looking for a simple Halloween recipe for kids to make as a snack this afternoon and came across a recipe for popcorn balls using marshmallows. My traditional popcorn ball recipe uses boiled sugar and corn syrup. There was no way I was going to let the girls help with that until they were a little older. However they have made Rice Krispie treats before, so this recipe for Halloween Popcorn Balls seemed perfect. It uses a packet of orange flavored gelatin for the coloring which gives it a little bit of flavoring but it’s not over-powering. I used some candy melts and pretzel rods to decorate the popcorn balls. The girls had so much fun helping and the popcorn balls turned out so cute!
